LAUREL BLOSSOM’s second book-length narrative prose poem, Longevity, will be published in 2015 by Four Way Books, which also published Degrees of Latitude in 2007. Her most recent book of lyric poetry is Wednesday: New and Selected Poems, Ridgeway Press, 2004. Earlier books include The Papers Said, What’s Wrong, and a chapbook, Any Minute. Her work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including180 More: Extraordinary Poems for Every Day, edited by Billy Collins, and journals including Poetry, The Paris Review, Pleiades, and Harper’s. Blossom has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, and Harris Manchester College (Oxford University), where she was elected Regent Emeritus in 2008. She co-founded The Writers Community, the writing residency and workshop program of the YMCA National Writer’s Voice. Blossom currently lives in rural South Carolina. GRACE CAVALIERI is author of over 30 collections of poetry including 2014 publications: The Man Who Got Away and The Mandate of Heaven. Her forthcoming memoir is Life Upon the Wicked Stage (Spring 2015). She is the founder/producer of “The Poet and the Poem” for Public Radio, now recorded at the Library of Congress and in its 38th year on-air. She is the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Washington Independent Review of Books, where she is poetry columnist and reviewer. Her career includes theater, poetry, publishing and broadcasting. Her latest play is Anna Nicole: Blond Glory.

Patricia Smith has been called “a testament to the power of words to change lives.” She is the author of six books of poetry, including Shoulda Been Jimi Savannah (2012), which won a Lenore Marshall Prize from the Academy of American Poets; Blood Dazzler (2008), a chronicle of the human and environmental cost of Hurricane Katrina which was nominated for a National Book Award; and Teahouse of the Almighty, a 2005 National Poetry Series selection. Smith is a professor at the College of Staten Island and an instructor in the MFA program at Sierra Nevada College. Reginald Dwayne Betts is author of the memoir A Question of Freedom (2009) and the poetry collections Shahid Reads His Own Palm (2010), and Bastards of the Reagan Era (2015). He is a 2010 Soros Justice Fellow and 2011 Radcliffe Fellow.
