Joel Brouwer is the author of Exactly What Happened<\/em> (Purdue University Press, 1999), Centuries<\/em> (Four Way Books, 2003), And So<\/em> (Four Way Books, 2009), and Off Message<\/em> (Four Way Books, 2016). He has held fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Mrs. Giles Whiting Foundation, and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.<\/em> He is chair of the Department of English at The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n
