I am writing to ask for your support of Four Way Books as we now approach our 30th year. I am acutely aware of the stresses and sacrifices the past year have forced us all to endure. I have found inspiration, escape, solace, and hope in literature over the course of the pandemic, and it has reaffirmed for me the value that the arts play in our lives. I hope that you feel the same.
Stepping into the role of director, with the support of our publisher, Martha Rhodes, I am dedicated to advancing the mission of this press: to support work of extraordinary merit. This means continuing to stand beside those beloved authors that call Four Way Books home and working aggressively to find and promote the work of dynamic and diverse new and established voices. I promise to take my responsibility seriously, and I cherish that what makes the work that we publish special is that it is not a monolith. The books on our list will continue to reflect the many stories all around us. Four Way Books will commit even more now to creating a chorus of narratives, styles, and experiences in our catalog. For these books to find readers, we need your help.
As ever, we continue to meet every deadline and maintain strong relationships with all of our literary
partners with the aim of producing books and events that reflect the very best of contemporary American literature. Please send a donation that is significant to you. Any amount that you send will be significant to us. If it is easier for you, you can send a check or go to fourwaybooks.com and click on donate. You can also set up recurring payments on a monthly basis. Another great way to support the press is by joining our standing order program and receiving all the books we publish each year. You can join by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
With thanks and best wishes,
Publishing sought-after, buzzy, award-winning authors (as well as under-the-radar tours de force!)—work that is massively resonant in contemporary American life.
