Usually, at this time of year, I am excited to send an invitation to you for the annual Four Way Books Benefit. But this being the year of years, we have, of course, decided not to hold an in-person benefit in May. So, at the time of this writing, when we’d otherwise be printing up invitations and addressing, stuffing and stamping envelopes, we feel that we need to be cautious and make an early call to delay our in-person benefit until later in the year, or to forego it until 2021. I ask that you support us at this time, nonetheless. An online benefit we will have. Will you contribute to the cause and join us?
Date: May 14, 2020
Featuring: Poets Tommye Blount of Novi, MI, Allison Benis White of Irvine, CA, John Murillo of Brooklyn, NY, and Q&A hosted by Matthew Olzmann. There will be short readings and a Q&A with poems visible on your screen so that you can read along.
P.S. Please consider coming forward this year – and if you already have made a 2020 donation, thank you! We need your support as bookstores shutter and can’t order books, and Amazon stops ordering books as well.
We need your support so that we can continue to support our past, current, and forthcoming titles. We don’t want COVID-19 to bring us down. We are working very hard to continue our good work.
